The Home That Jo Made will be known to many people as its the name of the Instagram Profile Jo created back in 2016. Originally created by Jo to document their home renovation project in their previous home. Since creating the Instagram profile in 2016 , it has attracted a mass of loyal followers, many of which engage with Jo on a daily basis.
Jo & her husband Dario are keen property developers. They’ve been sourcing and developing properties for the past decade. Jo runs a tight ship at home bringing up their 3 children, running a business and designing and renovating their properties.
The Home that Jo Made at 5 West Vows Walk is their most recent labour of love. A stunning 5 bedroom home that you could own for just £35!!
So, why create a competition and not just sell?
Dario and Jo fully intended on selling the property and moving on to buy another renovation project but after having seen a similar competition done down south, Dario & Jo decided in the last few months of 2017 that it was brilliant concept and that they would love to create a competition for one lucky winner to win their beautiful home.
A competition that would give a player a realistic chance of winning a property with no mortgage, no property tax duty, no solicitors fees.
Following Jo’s Instagram success, and so much love shown towards the property, Dario & Jo thought it would be a fantastic opportunity for someone to own the home that so many people have shown a vested interest in. They wanted to created the competition with the number of tickets available being considered very carefully.
They have seen several competitions similar to this popping up mainly down south over the past 6 months. One thing struck them with these competitions, and that was the cost per play each time was very low-Great!
However, the odds of actually winning were very, very low - Not so great!
Selling tickets at £2 would be brilliant but the chances of you winning, would be 100’s of thousands to one.
With a minimum amount of tickets set at 20,000 and a maximum amount if tickets at 35,000, they feel that these ticket sales are achievable and gives the player a very good chance of winning their home!
So, what happens if they don’t achieve the minimum amount of ticket sales to trigger the house giveaway?
Well, if they don’t reach the minimum threshold amount of 20,000 ticket sales, there will still be a winner picked. The winner will receive 70 percent of the total sum raised in ticket sales minus taxes. The remaining 30 percent will be held by us; some going to charity, some covering the costs of set up and some going to the unavoidable fella known as the tax man!
